Women's camel sandal
The women's camel sandal: the warm nude that goes with everything
Camel is a nude shade with character. Deeper than beige and softer than brown, it leans toward tawny and instantly warms up an outfit. On the foot, this shade has the elegance of natural materials: it recalls leather at its most authentic, and it has the good sense to age well, since a patina only makes it more beautiful.
At ANDRÉ, shoemakers since 1896, we offer camel in everything from flat styles to heeled sandals, including wedges. Discover our complete collection of women's sandals.
How to wear a camel sandal?
With light, summery outfits
With a white dress, ecru linen trousers, or a sand-colored skirt, camel brings exactly what is missing: warmth and depth. Unlike a dark sandal that would break up the line, it elongates the leg while remaining clearly defined. It is the easiest combination for summer, and probably the safest. The effect is even more flattering on tanned skin.
For a neutral or colorful outfit
Camel is an excellent mediator. With a neutral outfit—beige, ecru, khaki, or off-white—it structures the look without making it harsh. With brighter colors, it plays the opposite role: it tones down a print, softens a vivid blue, and pairs particularly well with green and burgundy. A shoemaker's tip to remember: match the shade of your bag or belt to that of your straps, and the whole look will immediately appear more polished. Our gold sandals also work very well in the same warm palette.

Frequently asked questions about camel women’s sandals
Do camel sandals go with all your outfits?
Almost always, which is what makes them such a lasting purchase as a black pair. Camel works with both neutral tones and colours, and has the advantage of taking you from spring through to early autumn. There are just two exceptions. With a very dark outfit, it creates a sharp break at the ankle: it’s up to you to decide whether you like the contrast. And if your colouring is already very warm-toned, a more neutral shade such as beige will create more breathing room.
How do you care for camel leather sandals?
Camel is a mid-tone shade, so it is more forgiving than light beige, but it shows water marks. Apply a waterproofing spray before wearing them for the first time, then wipe the upper with a soft cloth after each wear. Every four to six weeks, nourish the leather with a milk or colourless shoe polish – avoid a darker polish, which would irreversibly darken the shade. Clean the insole regularly, as it is more exposed on an open sandal, and store your pairs at the end of the season in a fabric bag, away from direct light.
